TurboFire Slow Cooker Chili

I love this chili!It's probably the best i have ever had =) It is another recipe from the Fuel The fire TurboFire guide book!


When i made this i saved the rest so i could eat it later!


Bret's Slow Cooker Chili
(Makes 6 servings,1 cup each)
1 lb raw 93% lean ground turkey
1/2 onion,chopped
2 cloves of garlic,chopped
1/2 can diced tomatoes,with juice
1 1/2 cups whole kernal corn
1 (15 oz) can black beans,drained
1 (15oz) can pinto beans (or chili beans or kidney beans),drained
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
sea salt and ground black pepper (to taste;optional)
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (3 oz)

1.Cook turkey,onion,and garlic in medium nonstick skillet over medium heat,stirring frequently,4-5 minutes,or until turkey browns,drain:discard fat.

2.Cook turkey mixture,tomatoes,corn,beans,tomato sauce,tomato paste,water,chili powder,cumin,salt and pepper (if desired) in medium saucepan over medium heat,stirring occasionally.Bring to a boil.Reduce heat,cook at a gentle boil for 15-20 minutes.

3.Sprinkle each serving with 2 tbsp (1/2 oz) cheese.
